ProPak Myanmar 2018 – Total Processing and Packaging Solutions for Food Drink Pharmaceutical Industries
ProPak Myanmar 2018will return for its 5th edition taking place from 13th to 15th September at its new bigger venue, Yangon Convention Centre (YCC), Yangon. ProPak Myanmar reaffirming its reputation as the largest, leading and most international industry trade event for Myanmar’s developing Food, Drink & Pharmaceutical Processing & Packaging Industries.
Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) reports that the manufacturing sector gained foreign direct investments (FDIs) worth US$394.87 million between 1 April and 30 June. The agriculture sector, the real estate sector, the hotels and tourism sector received investments worth $5.6 million, $2.8 million and $9.26 million respectively. At 60 percent of foreign investments are in Yangon Region and 30 percent in Mandalay. Japan tops the list with the largest investment of $85 million, followed by China and the United States. For Myanmar’s exports to foreign countries exceeded US$4.8 billion. The figure is up by $976.6 million compared with $3.83 billion in the similar period of last year. Export values were registered at $854.7 million for agro products, $93 million for livestock, $182 million for fishery products, $501 million for minerals.
